History
Shane Mayer had the idea to start our organization after using his own life experiences to identify an urgent need.
Shane grew up in poverty and spent most of his life in and out of foster care. Growing up living off of welfare most of his life, so he understands what life is like as a child when you don’t have everything you need to be successful. This childhood gave Shane a passion for serving the community and working to make sure no child is ever left behind.
Our Story
Shane Mayer became involved in his local community and looked for ways that he could make a difference in the lives of children in need. Neighbors helping neighbors in communities across the country.
He partnered with her first school system in Louisville in 2017, and provided the entire school with enough school supplies for each student. Since this first major outreach, his mission has only grown larger.

It has always been a dream of mine to take my passion for serving others and take it to the next level. Starting The Mayer Foundation is only the first step in making a larger impact on our future. It excites me knowing how much good we will do as a community to improve the lives of the children we work with.”
